You can control the S7 Max Ultra via its smartphone application, and this is where you'll find all the advanced features that differentiate it from other robotic vacuum cleaner self emptying vacuums and mop machines. There are also specific room mopping and cleaning options along with a planner for scheduling and a power strength choice for vacuuming and mopping. You can also integrate the S7 Max Ultra with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to create a smart home. The S7 Max Ultra's vast feature set lets it accomplish all the things a standard robot would do and more, but for a fraction of the cost.

The S7 Max Ultra's vacuuming is impressive and it did a very great job of picking up dirt, pet hair and other particles on carpet and hard flooring. The automatic feature for emptying the dustbin worked flawlessly during our tests, which was very and reassuring. It also boasts 5100 Pa HyperForce suction rating, which is significantly superior to the 2,500Pa suction power of the S6 MaxV and S7.

The S7 Max Ultra mopping performance was also good but not the most efficient. It used a microfiber mop which can absorb liquids and use sonic vibrating technology to scrub floors up to 3000 revolutions per minute. This was slightly quicker than the X1 Omni circular pads, which spin at 180 rotations per minute. The S7 Max Ultra's ReactiveAI 2.0 obstacle recognition system was excellent. In our tests, it didn't get stuck on any objects and it avoided power cords, long curtains and other obstacles that could be in the way 100% of the time.

2. Narwal Freo

Vaccuming and mopping your floors is a chore that everyone dreads but is essential to maintain a clean home. It is also a messy and oftentimes smelly job, and can be a challenge to get done as it involves handling dirty water and dustbins, and ensuring that debris or hair doesn't block the traps or brushes. Robots that mop and vacuum have become very popular. However, many of these products still require users to manually empty the dust bin, robot vacuum with self empty wash and wash the mop pads. This is a hassle especially if it's necessary to do this several times in between cleaning sessions. We're happy to hear that certain manufacturers are introducing self-emptying robots that make this task much simpler.

The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ is available at The Good Guys (for $1279) and is among the most advanced self-emptying robot vacuum for pets robotic mop and vacuum sets. It can plan out your home and mop and vacuum while detecting and avoiding obstructions. It can even release an air freshener, which is a pretty cool feature.

The app creates a map of your home that you can use to tidy. It's simple to set up. The app lets you choose specific rooms or areas to be cleaned. You can also select the time you want it to begin cleaning so that your floors are cleaned while you're asleep or away.

In our tests in our tests, we observed the T9+ to be exceptionally good in navigating around obstacles. However, it has an inclination to take slightly manic routes around the house, which often meant it ended returning to the exact place it had started cleaning just minutes earlier. It wasn't often however it was enough to be noticed, and is worth taking note of.

The iRobot Combo j7+ robot is an excellent choice for cleaning floors. It's a vacuum and mop all in one. It has excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. It can map your house and clean areas without smacking into walls or furniture. The app lets you set up zones to indicate areas that must be cleaned and areas you don't wish to be cleaned. You can also set up boundaries for no-mop and no-sweep zones.

IRobot's iAdapt technology 2.0 is a significant component of what makes Combo j7and smart. The front camera on the majority of iRobot's robots is used to prevent hazards such as pet waste and power cords. iAdapt 2.0 also allows the Combo J7+ robot to identify dirt levels and concentrate more on the areas.

When the Combo j7+ senses that it's on a surface that requires mopping then a tiny robot arm that has a mop pad lifts up from under the vacuum. It then scrubs the floor until the mopping pad is dry which takes about 90 minutes.

The Combo j7+ is easy to control using the mobile app that is user-friendly and well-designed. It also works with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa which means you can tell it to start a cleaning run by voice. The only drawback I could find was that the Combo j7+'s small water tank means you have to refill it frequently, or else limit its mopping to smaller areas and run it in eco-mode more often.

The Combo j7+ has a tiny dust bin which you have to empty manually. The Combo j7+ mop pads are also less efficient than other brands. This is a pity as this robot is otherwise excellent.
